Community Morning Tea

Saturday June 27th, 10:30am

An opportunity for those interested in volunteering and/or becoming members of Olinda Community House

If you’re interested in becoming part of the next chapter of Olinda Community House, as a member, volunteer, supporter, participant, or simply someone who cares about local community, join us for a special community morning tea on Saturday 27th June.

Come along for morning tea to hear about exciting plans for the House, connect with others in the community, and share your ideas for the future of this much-loved local space. Whether you’d like to get involved, meet like-minded locals, help shape future programs, or simply listen and learn more about what’s ahead, everyone is warmly welcome.

This is a chance to imagine together what a thriving, connected and community-led Olinda Community House can look like. We’d love to see both familiar and new faces there.

Communications shape how we see the world – and each other.

From advertising to social media, the messages we create influence attitudes, behaviours, and ultimately, health outcomes. That’s why embedding gender equality into communications, marketing and campaigns matters.

Join us for this free online webinar, hosted by Women’s Health East and delivered by shEqual, designed to support professionals to build confidence in creating more inclusive, equitable messaging.

In this interactive session, we’ll explore:

• How sexism shows up in advertising and communications
• The impact of these messages on health and gender inequality
• Practical ways to challenge and change harmful content
• Tools and resources to support more inclusive campaigns

Date:  Thursday 14 May
Time: 10:30AM – 12:30PM
Where: Online (Zoom)

Open to those working in communications, marketing, health promotion, prevention of gender-based violence, and community sectors – as well as anyone wanting to learn more.

Comedy is Back at Olinda Community House

Troy is best known for his eponymous TV shows Kinne Tonight and Kinne, which was nominated for a Logie. He continues to fill your telly screens with his guest appearances on hit shows such as: The Hundred w/ Andy Lee, The Roast of Paul Hogan and Have You Been Paying Attention?

However, his roots are performing live stand up in front of a room full of punters- something which he has won multiple awards for and which he has done all over the world.

We’ll kick things off with a couple up-and-coming acts who can do some damage of their own. It will be a full night of comedy!
